Paul Becker – Chief Executive Officer

Paul is an expert in the strategic application of technology to increase the contribution of an organization’s marketing programs to the top and bottom lines. As a trusted advisor to Fortune 1000 Chief Marketing Officers in leading companies in the Banking, Investment Management, Insurance, Retail and Hospitality/Entertainment industries, Paul has led the planning and implementation of integrated marketing solutions aligned with business challenges. Clients include American Express, Bank of America, BB&T Corporation, Choice Hotels International, FIfth Third Bank, Prudential, Royal Bank of Canada, Sears Holdings, Shutterfly and TIAA-CREF.

Prior to starting Pinpoint, Paul held senior executive positions in two CRM systems integration and consulting companies that he led from start-up to highly profitable, established enterprises. Serving in a general management role, he built talented teams of consultants and created high-value service offerings while continuing his personal involvement in service delivery. Paul’s CRM experience also includes significant contributions to Naviant (now Equifax). He developed the systems infrastructure, databases and applications for Naviant's suite of internet precision marketing products that generated annual revenues of $45 million.

Before Naviant, Paul’s background includes: the management team of MRJ Technology Solutions' Enterprise Systems Division; a chief architect in General Electric’s aerospace business; and a Computer Performance Evaluation Analyst and Software Engineer for the Central Intelligence Agency.

Paul received degrees from: University of Pennsylvania - Wharton School, Master of Business Administration; Virginia Tech, Master of Science – Computer Science; and Drexel University, Bachelor of Science – Mathematics.

Joe Bodek – Chief Technology Officer

Joe is responsible for using his expansive technical knowledge to develop a wide range of technical solutions that support our clients’ business and marketing needs. His expertise with marketing automation software is evident in his recent implementations of the Unica Affinium Suite at a top 5 investment management company, a top 5 insurance company, and a large gaming and entertainment company. Joe has cross-industry experience, and has worked with some of the largest marketing databases in the United States, including Fidelity Investments, Wachovia, and Centocor.

Prior to Pinpoint, Joe was Technical Consultant and Director of Marketing Solutions for a CRM consultancy. He managed client engagements and was also responsible for architecture planning, hardware sizing, database design, data flow design, software deployment, systems integration and development activities.

Earlier, Joe served as a Senior Software Engineer with Covad Communications, where he designed and built customizable web-based account management systems for consumer and business broadband subscribers. Before Covad, he was a CRM consultant with Naviant, where he helped develop and support a data warehouse and decision support system for a large financial institution and created inventory management algorithms to support ad space sales and banner ad delivery for a large retailer.

Joe earned his Bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University in Computer Science and Mathematics.

Ty Burger – Chief Operating Officer

Ty provides the leadership to support client needs for best practices in marketing processes and accompanying technical systems, always linking marketing actions to financial results. His vision energizes and focuses Pinpoint’s project teams, translating to measurable productivity and improved communication. Ty is intimately involved with marketing automation solutions and the continuous improvement necessary for client success, as evidenced in his work with leading enterprises such as Daimler-Chrysler, American General Financial Solutions, Fifth Third Bank and Bank of America.

Before Pinpoint, Ty was Lead Technical Architect for a CRM consultancy, where he managed staff for client engagements in technical and marketing consulting throughout the Northeast US. His many responsibilities started with proposal development and ran through architecture planning, database and data flow design, resource management and ultimate deployment.

Earlier, Ty was Director of Product Development for Equifax (previously Naviant), providing strategic direction, consolidation, and a stabilization business and technology plan to turn around a failing division. Ty started his career as a Software Design Engineer with Martin Marietta, then moved to MRJ Technology Solutions where he was quickly promoted through numerous increasingly responsible positions.

Ty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte, and holds numerous certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Certified Security Professional (CISSP), Security + and Oracle Certified Professional.
